BMCC Soccer Team Up With PYSA
PENDLETON, Ore. - The BMCC soccer teams have been striving to grow the game in the community of Pendleton, OR for years. With a variety of volunteer activities, small camps, and teenage/adult soccer leagues hosted on the campus of Blue Mountain Community College. Now, the BMCC soccer teams have teamed up with Pendleton Youth Soccer Association (PYSA) to take their outreach to another level offering a youth indoor league with hopes to grow the game and showcase indoor soccer to a younger generation.
Pendleton Youth Soccer Association board member Jill Greg had this to say about the league, "It’s great to see our local college players mentoring and sharing their love for the game with our youth players. Everyone walks off the court ecstatic to come back the next week and play some more. Opportunities outside of the regular season will enable our soccer community to grow stronger."
"The opportunity to bring more soccer and activites for our youth to this community is amazing to see and be apart of" said BMCC women's soccer coach Jordan Hillmick. "To team up with PYSA, an organization that gave me so much and is a big reason I was able to acheive my dream of playing soccer in college is amazing. To see players on my college team coach and help these young players is very fun to watch."
