PENDLETON, Ore. - The BMCC men's basketball team made up its rescheduled game against the Big Bend Vikings and cruised past the Vikings to secure their second win for NWAC east division play. Josiah Cruz led all scorers with 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal as BMCC wins 68-61.

It did not take long for the Wolves to score as Dylan Westlake (17 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast) hit a 3-pointer to take the lead twelve seconds into the game. LJ Ginnis (10 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast) of Big Bend would then go to work to make a 3-pointer and bring the Vikings back to life at the 16:57 mark of the 1st half. It would become a back and forth contest until Diego Carrera (5 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast) would make a 3-point shot to bring the lead to 7 for the Vikings. Big Bend would continue to roll with points made in the contest, increasing their lead to as much as 14 points in the first half. Kenny Aubin (17 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast) would go to finally make the breakthrough 3-pointer for the Wolves as they would begin to rally and bring the score back to within seven points before Josiah Cruz would make a clutch 3-point shot to bring the back to within four points at the 7:23 mark. BMCC and BBCC would continue to trade points back and forth before settling at 33-36 with the Vikings holding the advantage at the end of the 1st half.

At the start of the 2nd half, Big Bend would go to work to increase their lead back to five points. Aubin would then send down a dunk worthy of ESPN Sportscenter top 10 to swing momentum back towards BMCC. The two teams would go on to trade points for much of the second half before a Dylan Westlake made layup and another Kenny Aubin dunk would bring the Wolves to within one point at the 13:00 mark of the 2nd half. Finally, at the 9:08 mark, BMCC would take the lead again for the first time since the beginning of the game off a Josiah Cruz made 3-pointer. Big Bend would try and retake the lead but Josiah Cruz and the Wolves would go on to keep Big Bend from scoring again as they would wrap up the game to pick up win number two.

BMCC moves to a three way tie for fourth place in the east division at 2-4 in conference and 4-16 overall. The BMCC men's basketball team will return to the floor on Wednesday for BLUE OUT as they take on Treasure Valley at 7pm. The women's basketball team will tip off at 5pm.
