Wolves Sweep Weekend Home Games

PENDLETON, Ore. - The Wolves hosted two home games against Northwest Indian College and Clackamas Community College on Mosby Court as they look to wrap up 2025 and build momentum towards conference starting in early 2026. Led by Jessie Tijerina who continues to be one of the most electrifying players in the conference this season.
Game 1: Blue Mountain Community College vs. Northwest Indian College
Timberwolves Dominate the Glass to Edge Northwest Indian College, 75-70
PENDLETON, Ore. – Behind a dominant rebounding effort and superior depth, the Blue Mountain Community College men's basketball team earned a hard-fought 75-70 victory over Northwest Indian College on Friday night. The Timberwolves controlled the interior, outrebounding the visitors 50-25 and scoring 30 points in the paint.

Ahlius Yearout came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 13 points while grabbing 8 rebounds.

Leighton Bess also provided instant offense, matching Yearout with 13 points and adding 6 boards.
Defensive Stand - Starter Xavier Kelly anchored the defense and the glass, pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds while dishing out 5 assists and recording 3 blocks. Jessie Tijerina and Ezra Carter both contributed 11 points to the balanced attack. Despite a 29-point outburst from Northwest Indian College’s Fred Lewis, the Timberwolves held the visitors to just 40.3% shooting for the game. BMCC led 31-24 at halftime and withstood a 46-point second half from NWIC to secure the win.

Game 2: BMCC vs. Clackamas Community College
Tijerina Explodes for 33 as Timberwolves Win Shootout Over Clackamas, 105-100
PENDLETON, Ore. – In an offensive showcase that lit up the scoreboard, the Blue Mountain Community College men's basketball team defeated Clackamas Community College 105-100 on Saturday night. The Timberwolves used a blistering 61-point second half to secure the victory at home. Leading the charge was Jessie Tijerina, who delivered a spectacular performance. Tijerina poured in a game-high 33 points, shooting 9-of-15 from the field and draining 6-of-10 attempts from beyond the arc. He also filled the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists.
Offensive Firepower - The Timberwolves (3-6) were efficient all night, shooting 53.1% from the field and 45.5% from three-point range. After trailing 49-44 at halftime, the BMCC offense found another gear in the second half, outscoring Clackamas 61-51 to flip the script.

Key Stats - Clackamas kept the game close with balanced scoring, placing five players in double figures, led by Connor Oertel's 21 points. However, BMCC's ability to get to the free-throw line proved crucial. The Timberwolves shot 78.1% (25-32) from the charity stripe, compared to 66.7% for the visitors.
