Complete your BMCC financial file. About 3 days after submitting your FAFSA, the BMCC financial aid office will send you an email with information about the next steps.
Oregon High School students should apply for the Oregon Promise grant. To access that application go to: http://www.oregonstudentaid.gov/oregon-promise.aspx
If you have any questions about financial aid you can contact, Financial Aid at financialaid@bluecc.edu.
3. Complete the Accuplacer placement assessment. If you have a 3.0 high GPA when you graduate high school, please send your official transcripts to BMCC, you will not be required to take the placement test. The placement assessment allows your success coach to select appropriate courses for your first term at BMCC.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, placement options might change. To see list of options and criteria, click here: https://www.bluecc.edu/enrollment-services/getting-started/placement-options
4. Meet with your Success Coach – Jordan Hillmick; jhillmick@bluecc.edu; 541-278-5964
A Success Coach helps students navigate the college experience. I (Jordan Hillmick) am the Success Coach for all student athletes. I can meet with you over the phone, zoom, or Facetime to complete a new student intake and fall advising. Registration for fall term opens at the end of May. When registering for classes you will need to sign up for a minimum of 12 credits. 15-17 credits are recommended.
5. Fill out your athletic paperwork:
Once you arrive you will go through an athletics orientation. There is paperwork needed in order to be an athlete at BMCC. You need a physical from your doctor is required for all incoming freshmen. The physical should be done by your doctor prior to you moving to Pendleton, OR. A copy of your insurance card, and a copy of your MMR (measles immunization) dates from your doctor.
*Rodeo students need to request paperwork by contacting the program assistant in the athletic department at 541-278-5956.
6. Transfer students*
You will need to have your official transcripts sent to BMCC. You will need to complete a “tracer report” once you get to BMCC (your coach will provide you with the form). You will also need to complete and submit a BMCC Transcript Evaluation Request form.
*Rodeo students will need to have a second official transcript sent directly to the program assistant at BMCC.
Here is the link to the BMCC Transcript Evaluation form:
