Men’s Basketball Signs 7 at Prospect Camp

PENDLETON, Ore. – After finishing his first season at the helm, Blue Mountain Community College men’s basketball coach Doug Baxter has wasted no time in signing the next wave of Timberwolves basketball players. On April 5th, the men’s basketball team held a prospect camp that had 40 athletes traveling from all of the country to Pendleton, OR for a chance to become a Timberwolf. Of the 40, 7 athletes signed their Northwest Athletic Conference Letter of Intent to play at BMCC in 2019. “For my first recruiting class as the Head Coach, I'm very happy with this first wave of signee's. We had identified a couple key needs that we needed moving forward, more athleticism and team first players. This group of guys are going to really fun to watch grow. They are high character young men, willing to work hard both in the classroom and the court! It is a great start to building that foundation to be more competitive in the tough East Region” said coach Doug Baxter about his first recruiting class.
