BMCC Hires New Athletic Trainer

 

PENDLETON, Ore. - Blue Mountain Community College has hired Abigail Watkins as its new athletic trainer. Abigail will be taking over for outgoing trainer Ellen Rodgers who is leaving the athletic training program at the end of April to pursue her nursing degree. 

Watkins is currently finishing her Masters of Science in Athletic Training through the University of Idaho and will graduate from the program in May. Watkins will be finishing her most recent clinical work at Stanford University. Prior to completing her clinical at Stanford she completed time at Wenatchee Valley College, Summit High School, and the University of Idaho. Assistant athletic director Brad Baker had this to say about Abigail, "We are very excited to have her join us! She will be a tremendous asset for our student-athletes."

Abigail who is from Yakima, WA, was a student-athlete at Northwest Nazarene University and participated in softball. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Athletic Training. Please help us welcome Abigail Watkins to the Timberwolves!
