PENDLETON, Ore. - The 2023-24 rodeo season has come and gone and with that, the five time National Champions and fourty-two time Northwest Regional Champions have qualified nine for the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, WY. The Timberwolves will head to Wyoming on June 9th to June 15th with their best shot in years at bringing home additional team titles.

Qualifying for the CNFR is the Northwest Regions Women's All-Around Champion, Kennedy Buckner. Kennedy secured her second all-around title on April 27th, winning the title by over 700 points. Buckner has qualified for the national finals in goat tying, barrell racing, and breakaway roping as she looks to compete for the women's national all-around title. This is Kennedy's second trip to Casper.

Also traveling to Casper is the Northwest Regional Champion bull rider, Parker Buchanan. Parker took control of the race for the title back in October and never looked back. Buchanan will be the first bull rider from BMCC to qualify for Casper since Clay Hall in 2019.

Another qualifier for the College National Finals is bareback riding champion Hunter Greenup. Hunter took the titles over the rivals from TVCC by 300 points.

Cord Gomes will qualify for his second trip to the CNFR as he finished third in the standings for steer wrestling beating out TVCC for the final spot by 3 points.

Wyatt Skovgard and Luke Brannon also qualify for the CNFR after finishing second in the Northwest Region in team roping.

Metcarte Cook also punched her ticket to Casper as she qualified in goat tying.

Taylor Jones also secured her spot in the College National Finals in two events as she finished third in breakaway roping in the region and finished second overall in team roping. Jones will await a new teammate at the finals as her teammate did not qualify for the CNFR.

Fianlly, Cutter Marsh will team up with Zane Taylor of TVCC as they qualified for team roping in Casper as well.

BMCC finished runner-up in the men's and women's team titles with the women's team losing the team title race by the narrowest of margins.

Coaches Jade Crossley and Trevor Patterson look to take their young team back to the finals to make some noise and bring home another title to the trophy case. Coverage of the CNFR can be found on the Blue Mountain C.C. Rodeo Facebook page or live coverage by tuning into ESPN3.
