Timberwolves Baseball Adds 6 to Roster for 2020

PENDLETON, Ore. - BMCC baseball is off to a hot start in the off season adding 6 players to its 2020-21 roster. Coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history, head coach Brad Baker is ready to make more moves and a push for post season playoff contention. The Timberwolves won 22 games last season, which put them in 2nd for most wins in a season ever.

“This class is shaping up to be one of the best in BMCC Baseball history.  We have a great group of kids who perform on the baseball field and in the classroom.  They have the work ethic and passion for baseball and education that will help them fit in and add to our culture," said Coach Baker. "We have a few spots left to fill and several recruits coming on November 23rd for our recruit day.  We are all very excited to have these student-athletes join us in the fall of 2020!”

Justin Frederick- INF (La Grande HS, La Grande, OR)  Justin comes to us from a very successful La Grande High School program that has made very deep runs in the state playoffs.  Like most kids that come from Coach Parker McKinley’s program, Justin has a great fundamental set and knows the game well.  Justin can play every position in the infield and can swing the bat well.

Kaden Boyle- UTL/P (Murray HS, Murray, UT) Kaden is a very good athlete who is a great competitor.  He can play a variety of positions, can swing the bat well, and is a plus base runner.  Kaden can also contribute on the mound and we expect him to be a two way guy at BMCC.

Riley Peck- LHP (Pocatello HS, Pocatello, ID)  Riley is a solid left handed pitcher.  He has great mound presence, can pound the strike zone, and has great movement on his pitches.  We are always in need of solid left handed pitching and Riley fits the bill.

Matt McBride- UTL/P (Vale HS, Vale,ID)  Matt is a solid athlete from Eastern Oregon.  He can swing the bat, pitch well, can catch, and is a competitive smart kid.  Matt was named EOL’s player of the year last season and was an all-league pitcher and catcher.

Isaiah Finlayson- INF/P (Preston HS, Preston, ID)  Isaiah is an excellent athlete who can play every infield position.  He has great pop in his bat, a plus arm, and can also contribute on the mound.  Isaiah puts in a lot of extra time in the cage and we look forward to seeing that dedication next year.

Paige Aldrich- P (Kennewick HS, Kennewick WA)  Paige is a quality arm out of Kennewick HS.  Kennewick is always a competitive program out of the Tri-Cities.  Paige pitched against us in a fall ball scrimmage and we liked what we saw out of him.  Paige has a passion for baseball and we look forward to having him on the mound next season.

BMCC Baseball kicks off their spring season on February 22nd, 2020 at Columbia Basin College. The double header will begin at 11am in Pasco, WA.
